    “…The distribution characteristic of three-dimensional wavelet coefficients of video data was ana ed,and a scalable video coding algorithm was subsequently addressed based on hybrid three-dimensional tree and human visual system (HVS) characteristics.First,the hybrid tree structure was adaptively determined according to the auto-correlation of low-pass and high-pass coefficients.It reduced obviously the number of ion bits locating significant wavelet coefficients when scanning and processing low-pass and high-pass coefficients in temporal dimension.Second,each wavelet coefficient was weighted in terms of HVS sensitivity to its corresponding subband.Significant coefficients thus tended to be coded with high priority and arranged at the front of bitstream,and the reconstructed video quality was improved at low and medium bitrates to a great extent.Experimental results in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) verified the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm on several test videos with varying characteristics.0.65dB,1.75dB,and 1.77dB higher PSNR are gained than asymmetric 3-D orientation tree for Y,U,and V components,respectively.Moreover,0.23dB,2.11dB,and 1.72dB higher PSNR are reached than single temporal-spatial orientation tree separately for Y,U,and V components.Besides,better subjective quality is obtained through effectively attenuating ringing artifact.…”

    “…Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are an important component of future air-space-ground integrated network due to their onboard storage, communication, and computing capabilities.However, existing research on UAV-assisted edge networks often focuses more on the network perspective and lacks consideration of user perspectives and their requirements.Therefore, a UAV service enhancement mechanism based on deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) for scalable video coding (SVC) transmission was proposed from the user’s perspective.Firstly, an elastic video transmission method based on SVC was proposed in conjunction with UAV to improve differentiated user experiences.Secondly, a UAV trajectory planning design based on the DDPG algorithm was proposed to maximize the number of users receiving enhanced layer videos and ensure effective coverage enhancement by UAV in hotspot areas.Simulation results show that compared with both the deep Q network (DQN) algorithm and shortest path (SP) algorithm under different user distributions, the proposed algorithm can increase the average number of enhanced layers received by 47.9% and 76.4%, respectively.This study successfully achieves improved coverage in hotspot areas while also providing differentiated user experiences through its proposed methods.…”

    “…Based on the characteristics of quality scalable video coding,a fast inter encoding algorithm was proposed on the enhancement layer for the medium-grain quality scalability(MGS).Firstly,based on the base layer macroblock mode and rate-distortion,the order of the coding mode for the current macro block was proposed.Then based on the encode structure,the correlation between layers,and the spatial correlation,desicions for the Direct coding mode,layer mode,and adjacent mode were proposed,respectively.Finally,the macroblocks were encoded in the order predicted,with the proposed three decisions to improve on the coding speed by early termination.The experimental results show that the computational complexity of the algorithm is reduced by 68% on the average compared to that of the standard method,with only negligible coding loss and bit-rate increase.…”
