Runoff Prediction Based on VMD-LSTM-ARMA Model
Published 2023-01-01“…To increase the accuracy of runoff prediction,a combined prediction model is proposed to solve the problems of runoff prediction. This model consists of the variational mode decomposition (VMD),long and short-term memory (LSTM) network, and autoregressive moving average (ARMA).To reduce the complexity of the incoming traffic, the runoff data is decomposed into three modal components with different frequencies by VMD.The low-frequency modal component inherits the temporal properties of the data and can be processed by constructing the LSTM prediction model, while the two high-frequency sequences are stationary time series and can be processed by constructing the ARMA prediction model. The prediction results of the three subsequences are superimposed to predict the runoff. Finally, the hourly flow data of Dongjiang Hydrometric Station of Xiangjiang river tributary in 2020 are used to forecast the inflow flow, and the results of comparative experiments with other algorithms show that the constructed model can effectively improve the accuracy of the hydrological forecast.…”

Application of Rainfall Stochastic Simulation Based on Copula Function in Ancient Yellow River Basin
Published 2021-01-01“…Taking the monthly rainfall data of the three hydrological stations, namely Suqian Station at the upper reaches,Liulaojian Station at the middle reaches, and Xinyuan Station at the lower reaches of the ancient Yellow River in Suqian City,Jiangsu Province for 39 years (1980—2018) as the example, this paper conducts the stochastic simulation of monthly rainfall based on the Copula function, establishes the joint distribution of monthly rainfall for two of 3 stations, realizes the stochastic simulation of monthly rainfall of the three stations by Gibbs sampling, and verifies the effectiveness of the simulation prediction by comparing the measured and simulated monthly rainfall. The results show that there is a strong correlation between the rainfall in the upper, middle and lower reaches. The two-dimensional Copula function can effectively establish the correlation structure between adjacent stations in the study area, and serve for the stochastic simulation of rainfall in the basin, which provides a reference for its application in other basins.…”
