Analysis of Spatio-temporal Evolution of Land Use and Landscape Pattern in Liuxi River Basin Driven by Rapid Urbanization by ZHU Zhenjie, YANG Zibo, LIU Bingjun

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Since the implementation of the policy of reform and opening up,the dramatic evolution of land use and landscape pattern in basins has been brought about by the rapid development of urbanization, threatening the health of its natural eco-hydrological environment.Taking Liuxi River basin in Guangzhou as research object, this paper uses the land use transition matrix and landscape pattern indexes to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution of land use types and landscape pattern based on the land use data of different years from 1980 to 2015.The results show that:①The arable land, which is one of the dominant landscape in Liuxi River basin, was greatly converted to construction land and gradually fragmented and homogenized, resulting in the fragmentation and homogenization of landscape pattern in whole basin;②The dramatic changes of land use types and landscape pattern mainly occurred in the middle and lower reaches, especially during the period from 2000 to 2010;③The rapid growth of total population and the increase of proportion of tertiary industry were main urbanization indicators for the conversion of arable land into construction land.…”

Evolutionary model of heterogeneous clustering wireless sensor networks based on local world theory by Xiu-wen FU, Wen-feng LI

    Published 2015-09-01
“…Current research on the scale-free evolutionary model of wireless sensor networks (WSN) treated each network as a homogenous one and does not take into account the evolutionary characteristics of the network in realistic scenarios, thus leading to significant differences between homogenous networks and realistic ones. Therefore, based on local-world theory,a heterogonous evolution model of WSN in relation to cluster-structure,energy-sensitivity and dynamic behavior of WSN (e.g.…”

From tourism to multilocal residence? by Marianna Elmi, Manfred Perlik

    Published 2015-02-01
“…Second, the results show that these processes are parallel to a shifting use of second homes, announcing a transformation from an export-based to a residential economy in which second homes seem not to be homogeneously complementary to the tourist sector. Third, the Dolomites are not a homogenous region: despite the joint application process for WH site involving five provinces, demographic and economic differences can be highlighted along the provincial borders. …”

Diversité des itinéraires migratoires des colons d’un front pionnier amazonien by Xavier Arnauld de Sartre, Pascal Sebille

    Published 2008-11-01
“…That’s the reason why many researchers try to explain the reasons of their migration, but most of the time considering that the populations behave in a homogeneous manner. Based on a sample of 350 settlers encountered in recent colonised areas, our analysis shows the apparent homogeneity of the settler’s migrations, but stresses the diversity of their routes and of their logics of mobility – diversity which brings us to build a typology of those migrants based on their trajectories.…”
