LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN OF A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE FRONT AXLE BASED ON SECONDARY OPTIMIZATION
Published 2018-01-01“…A lightweight design method based on the idea of secondary optimization was proposed for a certain commercial vehicle front axle. The finite element model of the front axle was established and simulated.Combined with the fatigue endurance test, the true load of the front axle was investigated to verify the accuracy of the finite element model. The static tensile load and bending fatigue test of the real material of the front axle are taken as the light weight reference for obtaining the mechanical performance index of the front axle material after heat treatment. The overall model of the front axle is optimized and secondary optimization based on the mechanical model to ensure that the structure of the front axle meets the requirements of strength, stiffness and service life while achieving a lightweight design. The final total mass reduced 5.7 kg,to achieve the purpose of lightweight design.…”

基于响应面法的丢手释放接头优化设计
Published 2021-01-01“…In order to optimize the structural strength and weight of the release joint,a multi-objective optimization design method with stress and mass as objective functions was proposed. In this paper, the response surface methodology combined with finite element numerical analysis was used to construct the response surface model of stress and mass respectively with respect to structural parameters, and the interaction between the parameters was analyzed.Based on the response surface models, the optimal structural parameter configuration of the release joint was obtained by multi-objective optimization analysis. The stress of the optimized structure decreased by 19.5% with a slight increase in mass.Numerical and experimental verification shows that the optimized structure is safe and reliable. The proposed design method, which combines the response surface methodology, finite element numerical analysis and experimental testing, can provide reference for the design of similar mechanical or engineering structures.…”

Research of the Conceptual Design of Dump Truck Drive Axle Housing based on Space Narrowing Methodology
Published 2015-01-01“…To the problems of high inheritance and high parameter uncertainty of dump truck drive axle housing in conceptual design process, the space narrowing methodology and interval propagation theorem are introduced into the conceptual design process, the axle housing main parameters scope of the design space are further narrowed, finally, the range of design solution main parameters meet the changing needs of the performance is found and the stress, deformation and life of dump truck drive axle housing concept design model are verified by finite element method. The results show that, through space narrowing theory and interval propagation theorem, the concept design of dump truck drive axle housing change interval of main parameters is significantly reduced, the method can eliminate the uncertain information of initial design space, and the rationality of the optimization result is verified by finite element method.…”
