Sparse signal transmission under lossy wireless links based on double process of compressive sensing by Peng SUN, Gui-nan LI, Lian-tao WU, Zhi WANG

    Published 2017-04-01
“…In resource-limited wireless sensor networks, links with poor quality hinder its large-scale applications seriously. Thanks to the inherent sparse property of signals in WSN,the framework of sparse signal transmission based on double process of compressive sensing was proposed, providing an insight into a new way of real-time,accurate and energy-efficient sparse signal transmission.Firstly, the random packet loss during transmission under lossy wireless links was modeled as a linear dimension-reduced measurement process of CS (a passive process of CS).Then, considering that a large packet was often adopted in WSN for higher transmission efficiency,a random linear dimension-reduced projection (a simple source coding operation) was employed at the sender node (an active process of CS) to prevent block data loss. Now,the raw signal could be recovered from the lossy data at the receiver node using CS reconstruction algorithms.Furtherly, according to the theory of CS reconstruction and the formula of packet reception rate in wireless communication, the minimum compression ratio and the maximum packet length allowed were obtained.Extensive simulations demonstrate that the reliability of data transmission and its accuracy, the data transmission volume, the transmission delay and energy consumption could be greatly optimized by means of proposed method.…”

Data services and data plane for 6G mobile communication network by Xueqiang YAN, Guanjie CHENG, Shuiguang DENG, Jianjun WU, Lu LU, Mingyu ZHAO, Yan XI, Chao LIU, Weiyuan LI, Lei FENG, Tong ZHANG

    Published 2023-03-01
“…The existing communication network represented by 5G is used as a communication session data “pipeline”for information exchange between terminal devices and the network.Different from the point-to-point transmission of communication session data, the data generated and consumed by AI, sensing and network operations in 6G network needs to be collected, preprocessed, stored, and analyzed in a distributed manner. To this end, a data plane architecture independent of the traditional user plane was proposed to systematically solve the challenges of managing and monetization of the non-user-plane data for 6G mobile communication networks. The classification and characteristics of 6G network data and data services were identified and defined.Furthermore, based on the comparative analysis of the 5G user plane and the existing data-driven network architecture, a 6G data plane framework composed of two main components i.e.data orchestrator and data agent was proposed, and the data plane functional architecture was elaborated. In addition, three potential options for data forwarding control mechanisms were designed. These mechanisms can support on-path-packet processing within any topology of data pipelines, realizing the construction and maintenance of dynamic programmable data pipeline and the thorough separation of routing algorithms and data forwarding.…”

MRR scheduling based cognitive LTE-R eNode B and type of service value priority queue management strategy by Hongyu DENG, Yiming WANG, Cheng WU

    Published 2018-06-01
“…Cognitive radio technology was used to build cognitive radio networks in long-term evolution railway communication systems, and cognitive base station network architecture and MRR scheduling algorithms were proposed to improve the spectrum utilization of railway dedicated networks. In particular, the FIFO policy for cognitive LTE-R base stations in a single vehicle gateway causes excessive delay in real-time services of secondary users, and a cognitive LTE-R base station queue management strategy based on priority of service types was proposed. This strategy gave priority to sending packets with large service type values to the queue,so as to achieve the purpose of prioritizing real-time services.Simulation results show that under the premise of ensuring the normal communication of vehicles, the constructed cognitive base station can provide passengers with additional internet access links, and at the same time, improve the spectrum utilization rate of the LTE-R communication system. In addition, the cognitive base station queue management strategy based on service type value priority can effectively reduce the delay of passenger real-time services.…”
