Structure and microwave dielectric characteristics of (Ba,Sr,Ca)HfO3 ceramics by Xi Wang, Yi Han Ding, Xiao Li Zhu, Lei Li, Xiang Ming Chen

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Normalized ionic radii and the τf values of the end members were selected as independent variables, and τf was calculated by using multiple linear regression method. For Ba1–xSrxHfO3 and Sr1–yCayHfO3 with orthorhombic structures, the root mean square error between the calculated and measured τf was only 6.8 × 10−6 °C−1. …”

Foraging strategy and tree structure as drivers of arboreality and suspensory behaviour in savannah-dwelling chimpanzees by Rhianna C. Drummond-Clarke, Susan Chege Reuben, Fiona A. Stewart, Fiona A. Stewart, Fiona A. Stewart, Alex K. Piel, Alex K. Piel, Alex K. Piel, Tracy L. Kivell

    Published 2025-07-01
“…However, the link between foraging positional behaviour and tree structure remains understudied.MethodsWe collected data on arboreal foraging behaviour and corresponding tree structural characteristics over five months in the dry season, and used generalized linear mixed models to test for any effect of food type and tree structural characteristics on (1) duration of foraging bouts, (2) frequency of locomotion, and (3) use of suspensory behaviour.ResultsWe found that food types and tree structures found in woodland vegetation are associated with more time spent in foraging trees, a higher rate of locomotion, and the use of suspension in particular.DiscussionOur results suggest that arboreal, and especially suspensory, locomotion can be advantageous for foraging in a savannah-mosaic and not just closed forest habitats. …”

Linear Time Train Contraction Minor Labeling for Railway Line Capacity Analysis by Qinglun Zhong, Ruihua Xu

    Published 2024-09-01
“…Abstract When no more than one train is feasibly contained in the separation headway times of two other trains, a triangular gap problem-based method is used to compute the consumed capacity in linear time. This is a strong condition limiting its applicability, while real-world operations often feature mixed traffic of various speeds, creating more complex structures beyond the characterization of a triangular gap. …”

Non-linear bi-algebraic curves and surfaces in moduli spaces of Abelian differentials by Deroin, Bertrand, Matheus, Carlos

    Published 2023-11-01
“…The strata of the moduli spaces of Abelian differentials are non-homogenous spaces carrying natural bi-algebraic structures. Partly inspired by the case of homogenous spaces carrying bi-algebraic structures (such as torii, Abelian varieties and Shimura varieties), Klingler and Lerer recently showed that any bi-algebraic curve in a stratum of the moduli space of Abelian differentials is linear provided that the so-called condition $(\star )$ is fulfilled. In this note, we construct a non-linear bi-algebraic curve, resp. surface, of Abelian differentials of genus $7$, resp. $10$.…”
