Retrospective analysis of clinical risk factors of femoral venous catheter-associated thrombosis in hemodialysis patients by GAO Zhen-lan, CHEN Hong, HUANG Ping, LI Jia-ming, ZHANG Yi-min

    Published 2016-01-01
“…Objective Femoral veins catheters were used in even more patients who were newly initiated to hemodialysis therapy, and catheterization of the femoral veins is associated with an increased risk of thrombosis. This study aimed to analyze the clinical risk factors of femoral venous catheter-associated thrombus in hemodialysis patients. Methods A retrospective study was performed to analyze the relationship between right femoral venous catheter-associated thrombosis and clinical feature and laboratory examinations in 69 hemodialysis patients[average age of(51.72 + 19.91)years,39 males and 30 females]in Blood Purification Center of our hospital. Results Femoral venous catheter-associated thrombosis occurred in 7 cases, including 5 cases of glomerulonephritis(5/69,7.2%),and 2 cases of diabetic nephropathy(2/69,2.9%).Risk factors of right femoral venous catheter-associated thrombosis were explored through univariate analysis and multivariable logistic regression.Only body weight was protective factor(OR=0.862,95%CI=0.752-0.988,P=0.033),but age, gender, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, blood lipids including total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein,D-dimer,fibrinogen,prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, blood platelet, hemoglobin, serum albumin, edema, and prophylactic use of low molecular weight heparin, aspirin, prostaglandin El were not risk or protective factors of right femoral venous thrombosis(P>0.05).Conclusions Body weight was the protective factor of femoral venous catheter-associated thrombosis, inferring that greater body size has bigger femoral vein diameter and can tolerate more ultrafiltration dehydration.…”

Spatio-Temporal Variation and the Associated Factor Analysis of Net Primary Productivity in Grasslands in Inner Mongolia by Zilong Qin, Weiyao Guo, Zongyao Sha

    Published 2024-11-01
“…However, few studies have examined the long-term variations in the NPP in the IMAR and quantified the effects of natural factors and human activities on the NPP. The study modeled the net primary productivity (NPP) of the IMAR’s grasslands using the Carnegie–Ames–Stanford approach (CASA) model and employed linear regression, trend analysis, and spatial statistics to analyze the spatio-temporal patterns in vegetation productivity and explore the impact on the NPP of natural and socio-economic factors over the past two decades. …”
