Autonomic Nervous Regulation was Associated with Sleep Quality Among Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
Published 2025-05-01“…Serum creatinine (1157.0± 294.3 vs 969.6± 353.4 mmHg, p = 0.022) and phosphorus levels (2.1± 0.5 vs 1.7± 0.5 mmHg, p = 0.002) were higher in the poor sleep quality group compared to the good group. Linear regression analyses indicated that PSQI scores were associated with SKNA (β, − 2.54; 95% CI, − 4.90 to − 0.19; P=0.035), standard deviation of all sinus RR intervals (SDNN) (β, − 0.05; 95% CI, − 0.09 to − 0.01; P=0.015), and SD2 (β, − 0.04; 95% CI, − 0.07 to − 0.01; P=0.018).Conclusion: Poor sleep quality in PD patients may be associated with longer dialysis vintage, higher BMI, higher diastolic blood pressure, and higher level of serum uremic toxin, and affected by cardiac autonomic nerve function disorder. Keywords: peritoneal dialysis, end-stage kidney disease, skin sympathetic nerve activity, heart rate variability, autonomic nervous system, sleep quality…”

The Relationship between Retinol-Binding Protein 4 and Markers of Inflammation and Thrombogenesis in Children with Kawasaki Disease
Published 2021-01-01“…RBP4 had positive correlation with time point of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), Hb, and percentage of leukomonocytes (L%) and negative correlation with the percentage of neutrophils (N%), MPV, C-reactive protein (CRP), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), prothrombin time (PT), fibrinogen (Fbg), and D-dimer (DD) in the KD group; RBP4 had positive correlation with the time point of IVIG and L% and negative correlation with N%, MPV, and NLR in the KD-NCALs group; and RBP4 had positive correlation with Hb and L% and negative correlation with N%, CRP, NLR, and PT in the KD-CALs group (p<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis confirmed that Hb and CRP in the KD group, MPV and N% in the KD-NCALs group, and PT and CRP in the KD-CALs group were independent predictors of RBP4 (p<0.05). …”

Associations between perceived stress profiles, social connection and work engagement in clinical registered nurses: a mediation analysis and generalized additive models
Published 2025-08-01“…Results (1) The analysis revealed heterogeneity in stress levels among nurses, resulting in the identification of three distinct groups: low stress-high self-demand group (23.4%), high tension-low out-of-control group (57.5%), and high stress-low efficiency group (18.2%). (2) Clinical registered nurses that obtained support from their families were more inclined to be placed in the Low stress-high self-demand group. (3) Social connection significantly mediated the relationship between nurses’ work engagement and perceived stress. (4) Work engagement demonstrated a non-linear relationship with both perceived stress and social connection. …”
