description The theme of Los papeles salvajes by Marosa di Giorgio is not childhood itself. It is rather a topos based on it, but that does not think childhood as an element within an evolutive timeline. The decisive childhood space precedes and exceeds the thematic dimensions, to settle in the area of enunciation from which a tense polyphonic articulation of temporal implosion occurs. Considering Bakhtinian contributions and limitations as a starting point, I have formulated a new concept, which I call 'intrasubjective polyphony', with which I designate the emergence of different temporal voices within the same lyrical enunciation of subjectivity. In the mythical and idiolectal world of Marosa di Giorgio, the voices of children are not stabilized in a space of remembrance, but consistent with a poetics of the sublime, and narrate the poiesis of the unspeakable.
