Summary:<p><em>This study aims to understand the partiality of Kemi trilogy by Adian Husaini and its impact on the aesthetic of the novel. This is a quantitative study using a methodology of aesthetics established by Dewit H. Parker. The result shows two patterns of partiality. First, the author ignores the "show don't tell method" in the novel. Second, the author tends to use flat characterization.  Thus, it affects the balance of the novel that is determined by the contradictory pattern. The result of this study can be used as teaching material on Literary Criticism subject.</em></p><p><em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pola partisan yang muncul dalam trilogi novel <em>Kemi </em>karya Adian Husaini dan melihat implikasinya terhadap estetika novel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori estetika yang digagas oleh Dewitt H. Parker. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap partisan dalam novel terlihat dari dua pola yaitu kecenderungan menjelaskan alih-alih menunjukkan dan penokohan dan pelataran yang datar. Implikasi sikap partisan ini adalah keseimbangan di dalam novel cenderung dibangun oleh model pertentangan. Hasil penelitian ini bisa digunakan sebagai materi dalam mata kuliah Kritik Sastra.</em></p>
