Description
Summary:Apiospora, Microdochium and Pestalotiopsis have been reported as plant pathogens, endophytes or saprotrophes worldwide. Combining multiple molecular markers with morphological characteristics, this study proposes three new species, viz. Apiospora bambusigena, Microdochium jianfenglingense and Pestalotiopsis solicola from southern China. Apiospora bambusigena and M. jianfenglingense were collected from bamboo in Hainan Province and P. solicola was collected from soil in Yunnan Province. The morphologically similar and phylogenetically closely-related species were compared.
