Description
Summary:Several studies demonstrated that the COVID-19 pandemic negatively impacted the mental health of society and particularly students of different educa-tional levels. This study identified the level of psychological well-being of Mexican students at the Centro Universitario de Ciencias de la Salud (CUCS) of Universidad de Guadalajara and its rela-tionship with hope-despair in the framework of social isolation. The CUCS population is 13,526 undergraduate students, we worked with a sample of 412 participants, who responded to the Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale and Pereyra's TED-R Hope Despair Test. It was observed that, one year after social isolation, 31.1% of the sample presented moderate to low well-being and the rest had high-high well-being and that, in terms of hope, 76.2% presented low and very low hope. The results they show that the less hope, the less well-being and vice versa.
