After analyzing the three sermons that Pelbartus of Themeswar dedicated to the feast of Saint Stephen the Great of Hungary, I conclude that, although the three texts are influenced to a great degree by this type of writings, they cannot be included in the literary subgenre of mirrors for princes unless the sphere of the definition, which seems too narrow to begin with, is extended. |
