Summary:The announcement focuses on the industrial unionism movement in Greece, which was developed during the second half of the 70's. Firstly, the main political, economical and social transformations, following the collapse of the military dictatorship (1974), are presented, along with the culmination and decline phases of the industrial unionism movement. Next, the causes of the birth of the industrial unionism movement are presented, along with its demands and its efforts to connect with society. The innovative elements it offered to the Greek workers’ movement as well as its confrontation with the official syndicalism and the state are also presented. Finally, a reference to the industrial unionism movement in the city of Patras is made.
