| Summary: | This study focuses on the poetics of space in Un oued, pour la mémoire by Fatéma Bakhaï. Drawing on the works of Mircea Eliade, it considers the spaces described in the text sacred spaces and, consequently, significant and symbolic. These spaces are also repositories of experiences and collective memories which contribute to recreating History. Finally, the use of original and eschatological myths is a means through which the author reflects on social reality, produces criticism, and even announces changes. |
