Description
Summary:Focal cartilage lesions of the tibial plateau present unique challenges due to limited regenerative potential and complex biomechanical demands. This Technical Note outlines an osteochondral allograft transplantation technique for treating isolated central defects of the lateral tibial plateau. Fresh donor allografts are precisely matched and prepared, with careful debridement and socket creation to ensure a stable press-fit implantation, secured with bioresorbable nails. The described approach emphasizes technical precision and patient selection. This method offers a targeted and effective solution for central tibial plateau lesions, addressing an unmet clinical need while preserving knee function and structural integrity.
