Description
Summary:The paper provides a brief overview of the reaction devices used in the chemical industry and indicates the main difficulties and limitations that arise in the design and modernization of industrial gas-liquid reactors. It is noted that it is possible to most accurately describe the hydrodynamics of the flow, predict the profiles of concentrations, temperatures, reaction rates and various diffusion effects inside the apparatus for such types of reactors as tubular or piston reactors. A comparative analysis of gas-liquid reactor designs is presented, and the use of a general efficiency factor is proposed to analyze the efficiency of reactions.
