Description
Summary:Tourism satisfaction has become a crucial indicator in evaluating the competitiveness of natural attractions. Ngerit Stone Park, located in Trenggalek Regency, East Java, is a natural tourism site with unique karst landscapes and strong potential for geotourism development. However, the decline in visitor numbers in recent years indicates the need for a more systematic and measurable evaluation of the tourism experience. This study aims to measure visitor satisfaction using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method, based on the framework of Memorable Tourism Experience (MTE). A total of 70 visitors were surveyed using a structured questionnaire that assessed 24 indicators across seven dimensions of MTE, including hedonism, novelty, local culture, refreshment, meaningfulness, involvement, and knowledge. The analysis revealed that several attributes fell into the high-priority quadrant and require immediate improvement, such as KN-3, “experiencing a new culture while visiting” (importance: 3.36; performance: 2.66). Meanwhile, attributes like CU-3, “the local community is friendly” (importance: 3.54; performance: 3.04), showed strong performance and should be maintained. These findings provide practical recommendations for destination managers to improve service quality and visitor experience, and to support the sustainable development of natural tourism.
