| Summary: | This article analyses the construction of masculinity through the analysis of the ways in which heteronormativity expresses its power. The text explores forms of masculinity that are subordinate to heterosexual norms, and shows how this masculinity is built through the assujettissement to heteronormativity. The dialogue between a subordinate, and a hegemonic (heterosexual and patriarchal) model of masculinity, will be interpreted as a privileged vantage point to observe how conflicts that cross and define biographical experience are also tools in order for individuals to elaborate new forms of agency. |
