Description
Summary:The concept of regional security is complex due to its overlap with security and regional studies, leading to difficulties in clearly defining it because of the ongoing transformations affecting it on both horizontal and vertical levels. This study aims to analyze this concept and clarify the ambiguity surrounding it by exploring its developments in these two fields of knowledge. The study concludes that regional security is a multidimensional concept influenced by changing local and international contexts, making it challenging to provide a fixed definition. Understanding it requires a comprehensive approach that takes into account the political, economic, and social transformations impacting the regional environment.
