| Summary: | The article is devoted to the comparison of stable phrases semantically related to the concepts of “poverty” and “wealth” in Russian and Spanish. The relevance of the research is due to the need to study the phraseological system of the language as an integral part of its lexical stock. The purpose of the study is to determine which segments can be distinguished in the structure of this phraseosemantic field. The object of the study was phraseological units (FE) characterising the financial situation of a person in Russian and Spanish. The comparative method allowed us to draw attention to the main features of the structure of the semantic field “poverty” - “wealth” in these languages, the features that unite them, and the differences between them. As a result of the analysis, the basic elements in the structure of this phraseosemantic field, the representation of its units in dictionaries, and thematic groups of FE were identified. The main source of sampling were Russian and Spanish phraseological dictionaries. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of using its material when studying Russian as a foreign language, Spanish at an advanced stage of education, when training specialists in the translation of literary texts. The results of the study allow us to speak generally about the universality of the segments of this phraseosemantic field in Russian and Spanish. |
