Description
Summary:The tribute to Pierre-Yves Raccah’s works we would like to offer in our article is a series of propositions seaking to develop an instructional model to describe the gradual, dynamic construction of the meaning of an utterance. A definition of the notion of instruction is first presented and compared with other definitions. A formulation of this notion in terms of convocation-evocation is then introduced, along with a series of principles ruling the processing of these instructions in an utterance. Finally, we display the complete processing of two examples, in English and in French, so as to illustrate how we can describe the construction of meaning by dynamic instructions.
