Description
Summary:To investigate the influence of water level and rainfall on water quality of river inwelling, this paper builds a hydrodynamic and water quality model based on SWMM in Wufuwei District of Foshan City to simulate the variation law of water quality in tidal reach under the influence of rainfall and water level. The simulation results show that the water level and rainfall have obvious influence on the water quality of the river. On sunny days, the water level of the sluice station rises and the water quality improves. With the increase in rainfall, the water quality deteriorates due to erosion, but the average concentration of rainfall runoff decreases, while the average concentration of rainfall runoff increases during heavy rainfall. In the four major streams, the discharge of runoff and pollutant load from Beihewei Stream is the highest, while Chongyuan Stream is the lowest. The results have some implications for the management and treatment of river swelling water quality in Wufuwei District of Foshan City.
