| Summary: | Introduction. For the last four years, the content of the Unified State Exam in History was constantly changing. The purpose of these changes was to identify knowledge, skills, and abilities in the most objective form, to get away from the mechanical memorization of the material, and to achieve the manifestation of creative, analytical, and logical abilities of graduates. Methods and materials. The results of the Unified State Exam in History, demonstrated by the students of the Volgograd region in the 2021–2024 years, give the understanding of the received skills. Analysis. An analysis of the fulfillment of controlling and measuring materials tasks by graduates of the Volgograd region allows us to conclude that the main dates, facts, processes, and phenomena of the history of Russia constitute the most successfully acquired knowledge, as well as the ability to search for information in written sources and the simplest skills of working with a historical map. The greatest difficulty for graduates is represented by tasks on the ability to use historical information for argumentation and analysis, tasks for working with images, and tasks that test the knowledge of historical personalities. Results. Comparing the results over several years allows us to come to the conclusion that controlling and measuring materials meaningful changes over four years did not lead to a significant change in the average test score of the results of the Unified State Exam in History since changing the form and content of a number of tasks did not change the elements of the knowledge, skills, and abilities being tested. |
