The genome sequence of a tachinid fly, Gymnocheta viridis (Fallén, 1810) [version 1; peer review: 2 approved]
We present a genome assembly from an individual male specimen of Gymnocheta viridis (tachinid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Tachinidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 600.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.1%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex...

Summary: | We present a genome assembly from an individual male specimen of Gymnocheta viridis (tachinid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Tachinidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 600.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.1%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 19.34 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 12,716 protein-coding genes. |
