Description
Summary:The present article introduces a Master’s research that aimed at identifying the most recurrent terms in Cultural Geography, a branch of Geography that analyses human-spatial-social realities through culture and which is the focus of studies both in Brazil and in France. Based on the Communicative Theory of Terminology, this study is a linguistic work that uses as corpus the textual content of a C.G. journal. The data were collected from a sample of this corpus, using textual analysis software. In order to identify the spatial issue of this approach as contrasted with other geographic approaches, a domain tree and a preliminary concept map of Cultural Geography were made from the analysis of selected terms.
