| Summary: | The stratigraphic drawing provides to the researcher a new analysis method for murals paintings. This consists on a study of the technic, a proposal of a graphical summary of the various developments stages and a determination of a relative chronology of the decoration in the whole pictorial program. The extremely faithful tracing gives rise to an entire reproduction of the work in actual size in which it is possible to restore the original state and fill some iconographic gaps without intervening directly on the wall. |
