Description
Summary:The quilombola community “Ressaca da Pedreira” is located in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil. Officially, since 2010 it has been through the process of landholding regularization by INCRA, which makes it become a quilombola territory. This work aims at analyzing the way of life and the territoliality in the quilombola community “Ressaca da Pedreira”, encompassing its socioeconomic, environmental, cultural, territorial and political metamorphoses. In terms of methodology, based on the dialectical and phenomenological materialism, bibliographic reviews were carried out on the theme, a field research appreciating the orality of the inhabitants, photographic series and maps, which permitted a critical analysis about the need for expansion of these public policies of recognition of ancestral territories, as well as the assurance of residence of social groups with economic characteristics based on surplus agriculture in the officially protected land. The conclusions indicated the importance of the process of landholding regularization, which ensures, besides the land ownership, the access to other socioeconomic policies, which guarantee the well-being of the communities.
