Summary:Abstract Introduction: Information technology plays a major role in human life, as it has become an integral part of life, which is now occupying all civil and military fields. One of the most important areas occupied by this technology is the education sector, as this education is gradually shifting from traditional (face-to-face) education to e-learning and distance learning, which has increased in importance during the years of the Corona pandemic. The aim of the study: Accordingly, this research came to serve in this field, as it came to explain the most important characteristics of distance learning, by proposing distance-learning models for a university. The methodology: As for the distance, learning models that were selected in this field, an analysis of the models corresponding to the educational communication process within the university was conducted. The results: Based on this analysis, several factors have been identified to improve the distance learning mechanism within the university, based on the results of educational communication, in addition to setting and formulating some standards necessary for designing educational materials and improving some educational texts included in the distance learning system within the university.
