Summary:The present article is the synthesis of a research carried out in the French section of the Department of Letters and Foreign Languages, at Tiaret University, Algeria. It focuses on the teaching/learning of oral production skills and practices some of the action-oriented approach principles through the study of oral interactions during the performance of a language task. The aim behind this is to lead the learners to mobilize multiple resources when speaking in FFL (French as a Foreign Language) classes. It is a question of testing one of the theoretical principles underlying the conception of language in the Common European Framework of Reference (Council of Europe, 2001), namely the fact that the language the learner is regarded as a "social actor" having tasks to perform just similar to real-life situations. The corpus consists of filmed recordings of oral expression sessions conducted with second year LMD students.
