| Summary: | In the context of the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, process modelling and simulation are essential methods of process improvement. The objective of the present work is to present a simple process that changes one of its characteristics. The applied method is the evaluation and comparison of the results of the modelling and simulation of a production workshop with mechanical chipping processing. By changing the number of employees, the efficiency of the analysed process was obtained. Thus, better effective processing times were determined at the expense of waiting times and blocking of the process. Also, the use of energy was improved by concentrating it in effective processing operations instead of waiting and blocked operations. |
