Description
Summary:Abstract This systematic review explored cultural influences on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social media addiction among adults. With increased digital engagement among young people, concerns about ADHD and its interaction with social media use have become more apparent. This review examined how cultural backgrounds influence the prevalence, manifestations, and management of ADHD and social media addiction. Following a systematic search, ten studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The research provided a comprehensive overview highlighting significant cultural differences in how these conditions are perceived and addressed. Results indicated that cultural and social dynamics significantly influenced both ADHD presentation and susceptibility to social media addiction. Our findings highlighted the need for culturally sensitive diagnostic and intervention strategies tailored to different sociocultural environments.
