Description
Summary:It is still necessary to ponder those things which, because of their very nature, seem impossible to understand. Josep Palau i Fabre vindicated a literature grafted with madness such as the alchemic tradition, in order to re-encounter a form of grandness similar to that of man, as he suggested in his prologue to the Alchemist’s Poems. Alchemy could summon up a reality far from any judgment that determines things through clear-cut distinctions; therefore, the poet’s responsibility –the duty of the writer who takes charge of the language– would consist in upholding this legacy that surpasses the everyday, immediate reality.
