description The deployable laminated shell has the characteristics of deformable,lightweight,simple molding process,uniform mechanical properties,etc.,and has great application value in intelligent deformable structure.In order to study the ballistic impact characteristics of the deployable laminated shell,the ballistic impact test of the deployable laminated shell of three different layup materials was carried out using a one⁃stage light air gun,and the impact test results at different speeds were obtained,the differences in the failure form of the deployable laminated shell under different layups were analyzed,and the ballistic limit speed of the corresponding substation deployable laminated shell and the total absorption energy in the ballistic impact test were calculated.The ballistic experiment of the deployable laminated shell was simulated,and the accuracy of the simulation model was verified by compared with the test results.Using the verified simulation model,the effects of different bullet types on the ballistic limit of the deployable laminated shell and its total absorption energy were calculated and analyzed.
