description The paper considers methods to improve accuracy of non-rigid parts’ shape-formation at lathes with digital programmed control. The method for compensation of error components in a part shape across a longitudinal section by linear change of a minute feed within the coordinates «feed - machining length» with the subsequent approximation of any curve within these coordinates by straight-line segments is described in the paper. The paper presents an adaptive control system that sustains the specified law of cutting force changes in the path function. Some results of the experimental research are given in the paper.
