Description
Summary:In today’s era, when instruments and machines decide what kind of ophthalmic advances would come up in the future, doctors have silently given the baton to engineers and industry. Even the geniuses among us fall prey to being merely the best users of what the industry offers. No wonder there are only a handful of patent holders among Ophthalmologists. We must not underestimate the innovative and intuitive streak in all of us and reclaim the position of being the driving force in Ophthalmology. Through this article, a small glimpse of the journey to the final development of a calibrated tip and the concept of frequency-based phacoemulsification is presented.
