| Summary: | Our study falls within the field of teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) and aims
to compare the effects of two teaching modes (face-to-face vs. distance learning) on the learning of
grammar in the university context. The objective of our research is to evaluate the effectiveness of
distance learning in the grammar learning of university students.
To achieve this objective, we conducted a survey between two groups of second-year undergraduate
students who took a grammar course both in face-to-face and in distance learning formats using the
Moodle online teaching platform. The results of this survey highlight the specific impact of each
teaching mode on grammar learning. They suggest that distance learning, using the Moodle platform,
can have distinct advantages compared to face-to-face teaching. This may be due to the different
resources available on Moodle.
