Description
Summary:In the work the dynamics of growth of zinc dendritic deposits in the galvanostatic and potentiostatic modes from an electrolyte containing 0.3 mol/L of ZnO, and 4 mol/L of NaOH has been studied. It has been shown that in galvanostatic conditions decrease in the elongation rate of dendrites and change in the deposit structure from dendritic to compact accompanied by increasing density and decreasing through-thickness porosity are observed. In potentiostatic modes dendrites grow at a constant rate and the structure of the deposit varies little. The results have been confirmed by electron microscopic studies of morphology of zinc particles.
