Description
Summary:The corrosion behavior of AlSi9Cu3 aluminum alloy, which is commonly used for manufacturing radiators of remote central heating systems, is investigated. The tendency for pitting corrosion is investigated in the phosphate buffer solution at pH = 7, in the sodium chloride anion concentration range 10-300 mg dm-3. The critical pitting potentials are estimated. The behavior of aluminum alloy and copper corrosion couple is also investigated.
