Summary: | In this study; 60 semen samples from the artificial insemination centre in Ankara and also from the bulls -under the possessions of farmers- brought to be slaughtered in Meat and Fish Foundation Slaughterhouse in Konya were examined for virus isolation on sensitive cell cultures. As a result of inoculation of 60 semen samples onto cell cultures, 5 viruses were isolated. 3 of the isolated viruses were identified as Bovine Herpesvirus Type 1 (BHV-1) according to the results of cross microneutralisation test by rabbit hyperimmun sera. |
