description | Objective. The main purpose of this research article was to recognize the conceptions of love and its transformations in the postmodern pandemic scenario in the city of Medellín, Colombia. Methodology. The research is based on a qualitative methodology, carried out through 30 semi-structured interviews with the general population and a Delphi adaptation with four experts in interpersonal relationships. Results. The main results show how confinement and the pandemic affected the value of intimacy and emotional connection, expectations in romantic relationships, and the increased need for emotional support. In this regard, the article demonstrates how these changes, although originating from the confinement, have persisted afterward. Conclusions. It is concluded that perceptions of the concept of love have undergone permanent changes as a consequence of the pandemic, resulting in more volatile, momentary, and less solid emotional bonds. |
