Summary:National Publishing Congress which began in the early years of the Republic was supported by the state. The first National Publishing Congress; Turkish National Publishing Congress on 1-5 May 1939, the Fifth National Publishing Congress on 4-5 December 2009 were convened in Ankara. Publishing congresses were conducted to bring publishers, writers and readers together, to meet the community's information needs, and to determine the road map for the work to be completed. The State conducted proceedings in order to determine the necessary policies and procedures to meet the requirements of publishers, libraries and readers in line with the new developing publishing. So the government aimed the development of Publishing, which constitutes an important part of economical and social development.
