Summary: | More and more students with disabilities are graduating from post-secondary establishments without knowing their conditions of entry into professional life (Le Roux and Marcellini, 2011; Vincent, 2020). Therefore, this scoping review identifies research work on the professional integration of people (graduates, workers) with disabilities from higher education. It has four main objectives: 1) describe the challenges and strengths of people with disabilities in professional integration; 2) describe the obstacles faced by people with disabilities regarding their professional integration; 3) describe the issues associated with disclosing their condition (disability, disorder) in the workplace; 4) identify courses of action to be taken to promote the professional integration of people with disabilities. With 35 scientific articles, this scoping review reveals, among other things, discrimination issues expressed by four main categories of obstacles to professional integration of people with disabilities. Courses of action are proposed to remedy these obstacles within a perspective of shared responsibility between post-secondary establishments and employment environments. |
