Summary:It introduced the theory of neutral-point-clamped (NPC) three-level inverter and its PWM method. It analyzed why DC-side capacitors’ voltage fluctuated and proposed the strategy of adding zero-sequence component to every phase modulation wave for preventing neutral point potential shifting. Matlab simulation was carried out for the control strategy. The results show that the control strategy is correct.
