description In this work we analyze the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program from the perspective of the financialization of real estate production in Brazil and the precariousness of the works in this program, both in terms of infrastructure and urban insertion. The analysis was carried out at Residencial Tiradentes, in the city of Marabá, Pará, Brazil. The study used Henri Lefebvre's concepts of dwelling and habitat as a theoretical foundation, from the perspective of the right to the city. The results of the work show that in Marabá the recent Brazilian trend in the production of social housing is repeated, which favors the realization of real estate deals and which hinders citizen participation in urban life, by precarious access to public health, education, transport and the city itself.
