Description
Summary:The economic integration and the creation of a European common market brought as a consequence the transformation of the public service concept, making way to services of general interest (SGI), services of general economic interest (SGEI), and Non-economic services of general interest (NESGI). This paper, reviews this process of transformation from the original idea of the Bordeaux School, to the notion of service of general economic interest (SGEI), coined by European Union law.
