This book, as the editor of Luni Publications declare, published for the first time in 1928 by the Optima publications in Rome, was integrated in 1930, by a second volume devoted to the "Added discussions and notes". To provide a diagram of the editorial history of the work we mention one of the bibliographic records of the prestigious work of Stefano Salzani,Luigi Valli e esoterism di Dante: Il linguaggio segreto di Dante e dei fedeli d'amore, I, Optima, Roma, 1928 Il linguaggio segreto di Dante e dei fedeli d'amore. Discussioni e note aggiuntive, II, Optima, Roma 1930 (ristampa anastatica del v. I: Libreria Antiquaria Bertoni, Roma 1969; Fratelli Melita, Genova 1981; I Dioscuri, Genova 1988; Firenze Libri, Firenze 2008;riedizione integrale in un volume: Luni, Milano 1994).
