Summary:Based on the meshing theory of the roller enveloping end face engagement worm drive and the contact finite element analysis method,the finite element analysis software of ANSYS is used to establish the finite element analysis model of the roller enveloping end meshing worm drive,and the contact finite element analysis is carried out. The results show that the roller enveloping worm gears are in line contact and the number of meshing teeth of single-segment worm gear reaches 5 pairs at the same time. The studies are practicably instructive for developing new worm riving with high loading capacity.
