Summary: | Using different constant velocity drive shaft of Santana automobile with different service lives, the wear characteristics were investigated,including the external and internal splines as well as the inner and outer race of constant velocity joint. The results showed that the wear of external and internal splines for intermediate shaft was still satisfied the design standard if the service lives was less than ten years. The wear of external and internal splines for intermediate shaft exceeded the product design requirements when the Santana automobile was naturally scrapped. The wear of inner and outer race of constant velocity joint was still satisfied the design standard whenever the service lives were reached the scrapped requirement,The technical reference estimated strength and life of remanufactured constant velocity drive shaft will be provided by our experiments data and results. |
