Summary:Aims: The study aimed investigate the role of the commercial relations of the Fallujah city with the surrounding region. It also aimed to clarify the boundaries of the region, to identify the areas that are commercially linked to the city by understanding the locations of the beneficiaries of those services. Methodology: The current study adopted the descriptive method to understand the existing patterns and commercial institutions of the city of Fallujah. The functional approach was then applied to identify the regional influence of commercial institutions and determine the number of the visitors to the city by using statistical and field methods. Results: After analyzing the data, the results showed that there are regional commercial relations between the city and other cities. The study also showed that the type of goods has a significant impact on these relations. Some of the commercial goods have a long-reaching impact, while others only extend to neighboring villages. The breakdown of goods includes: foodstuffs (23.9%), construction materials (8.6%), clothing and accessories (35.0%), furniture (3.9%), tools and car repair workshops (8.5%), pharmacies and laboratories (3.9%), commercial services (3.7%), and other institutions (7.1%). Conclusions: It can be concluded that the city of Fallujah is significantly connected to its region under the names of "intensive region" and "wide region." The intensive region is centered in the city and its surrounding villages, while the wide region includes the nearby districts and sub-districts such as (Al-Amiriya, Al-Karmah, Al-Habbaniyah, and Al-Suqlaweiyah sub-district).
